Lee smiling in front of some weird looking tower they happened to stumble across in Paris. Can anyone help them figure out what this thing is?

Lee Cheeseman (they/them) is a writer of short stories, creative nonfiction, and poetry currently studying creative writing and English literature at Bryn Mawr College. Their work often focuses on themes of queerness, young adulthood, politics, and mental health, all with their signature dry humor. They aim to explore dark, frightening, and relevant topics in a way that feels fresh and bold. Originally hailing from that accursed land known as Long Island, New York, Lee understands what it feels like to grow up queer in a place that would much rather you were anything but and this perspective informs much of their work.

In addition to their writing, Lee is currently an editorial intern for JackLeg Press where they have gained hands-on experience reading and evaluating short fiction, novels, creative nonfiction, poetry, and hybrid forms, both initial queries and full manuscripts.

At school, Lee is the president of The First Page creative writing club, editor-in-chief of Nimbus, Bryn Mawr’s literary and arts magazine, and co-head of the Gender Inclusion Committee which fights to make Bryn Mawr a more safe and inclusive space for gender diverse students.

When not writing or reading or doing homework or planning club meetings or fighting the establishment, Lee enjoys doing 1000 piece puzzles and watching other people play dnd.
